What's New at ToolingDocs

Ohio Approves ToolingDocs as Eligible Training Provider

The State of Ohio has named ToolingDocs as an Eligible Training Provider (ETP) under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA).

ToolingDocs’ Mike Burroughs was very instrumental in earning this new status. “There’s a huge void in this market – and what this training certificate means is that we have direct access to funding to help displaced workers and high school graduates train for a skilled job that is becoming more and more in demand,” he says.

While the ETP status pertains mainly to Area 7 in Ohio (the largest area, encompassing 43 counties), folks from all over the state can apply to take advantage of mold maintenance training programs.

“To me, I would call ToolingDocs the ‘golden nugget’ that was found under my footsteps,” says Larry Corn, who is the Workforce Specialist for the State of Ohio that helped ToolingDocs attain ETP status. “They are one of a kind – and not just in Ohio either. They are providing technical development in a critical sector of the workforce to fill a skills gap. It fits perfectly with what I’m charged with doing now. How they went undetected by us for three years I don’t know, but we’ll work closely with them to make this program a success.”

“Being able to train a whole new workforce is a particularly gratifying prospect,” says Mike. “We’re excited about this opportunity and we appreciate Larry’s assistance with making it happen.”
