We run ABS from GE and Monsanto, and have problems with a red, pasty substance around vents, inserts, and ejector pins that we can't identify. We use a synthetic lubricant with Teflon. Any ideas how to get rid of it?

Three suggestions:

  • Use 420 stainless steel cavity and cores for less buildup.

  • Use continuous venting.

  • Flash-chrome your ejector pins or vent inserts.
